Experimental study of cavity flow behavior on a 2-D hydrofoil

摘要

In order to get osme information on the cavity flow behavior,an experiemntal study of the external and internal flows of a cavity occurred on the 2-D hydrofoil is performed in a closed type cavitation tunnel.the liquid phase velocities and their flucturations in the lfow field inside and outside the cavity are measured by using a Laser Doppler Velocimeter (LDV) in different cavitation states.And the corresponding cavitation aspects are observed photographically by means of a xenon flash lamp with 1 #um#s and a high-speed video.The results hsow that the averaged velocity profiles inside the cavity are similar to those in the single phase boundary layer However,strong flucturating and intermittent reverse flow occur within the cavity,especially in the region near the bottom of the cavity.
