Glassfiber reinforced concrete (GRC) is a well-established material suitable for the production of corrugated roofing sheets and flat tilebaker boards. For industrial production a slurry which contains the cement paste, aggregates and some additives is spread on a moving line. Copped glassfibers are sprayed on to the board surface and are pushed into the matrix by using mechanical fiber pushers. The chopped fibers are randomly orientated in the matrix. For the production of corrugated boards additional glassfiber rovings are incorporated into the matrix. This incorporation is well orientated with respect to corrugation. The corrugation is achieved by mechanical treatment of the green boards by means of special moulds. In the production process no exess water is used and no dewatering system is necessary. The water is totaly consumed by cement hydration.
