摘要

Since the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) system was widely used in portable devices and embedded systems, power consumption has become an important factor of the performance of LCD controller. Aiming at the great load of data processing of LCD controller, we proposed an original data encoding algorithm, image map encoding algorithm, which is based on the traditional LZ77 algorithm. It has been verified that it can reduce the frequency of the access from LCD controller to frame buffer, thus decreasing the power of the whole system effectively.
