In this paper a method for sidelobe suppression in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) spectrum sharing systems is proposed. This technique is denoted additive signal because a complex-valued sequence is added to the original transmit data sequence in order to minimize the sidelobes. To determine additive signal sequence an efficient convex optimization algorithm subject to constraints on transmission power and bit-error rate (BER) performance is employed. Numerical results show that the sidelobes are suppressed more than 10 dB with a moderate loss in BER performance.
