A method for achieving dual polarization of a single antenna by innovatively designing a dual-polarized PIFA (Planar Inverted F Antenna) on a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is described. This method can be applied for achieving polarization diversity by one antenna, hence can improve signal quality, decrease the needed number of antennas for polarization diversity, reduce the cost and occupied space of antennas for wireless mobile terminals, which is advanced over the conventional way of achieving polarization diversity by multiple antennas.
