Computerized control of sizing machine in textile industry

This paper discusses an actual implementation of control of sizing machine of a textile industry (TECOM, Nanded) by using the IBM PC/XT [1,9]. The parameters to be controlled are the level of size mixture in the size mixture in the size box, temperature of the size mixture in the size box, and moisture contents in the warp which is controlled by controlling the temperatures of the drying cylinders. This paper discusses the computerised control of sizing plant in textile industry in which there are normally 4 to 8 sizing machines.
