In order to study the process of the frost formation in the nature convection and the restraining frost formation of the parameters such as high voltage electric field voltage and cold face temperature etc, the meso-scale visual observation was conducted to investigate the process of frost formation on fin evaporator. Under the parameters of cold face temperature Tw=-14 ,air temperature 15 °C---20°C , humidity 20%--90%,high voltage 0KV---40KV,it is found that the frost formation distributing of the face of evaporator copper pipes is not uniformity . The asymmetry high voltage field can obviously restrain the frost formation. According to the test result, the theory analysis and computer simulation are introduced .
