The Progress of FCC Gasoline Hydrotreating Technology in China

Two kinds of hydrotreating process are developed for producing low sulfur and olefin FCC gasoline. They have flexibility to meet different product requirements with lowest octane loss. The first technology called RSDS has following features: low olefin saturation (affected by cut-point temperature, content and distribution of olefin), low octane loss, limited hydrodesulfurization (affected by cut-point temperature and olefin distribution). This technology is suitable when the highest hydrodesulfurization needed is no more than 80%. The second technology called RIDOS has following features: high hydrodesulfurization activity, high olefin saturation and low octane loss compared with regular hydrofining process. This technology has a good sulfur tolerance to different feed, is suitable for strict sulfur and olefin regulations.
