Analyses on static and dynamic decoupling characteristics of the air-gap flux-oriented control for synchronous motor considering the rotor salient pole effect and rotor damping windings
Owing to the stator and rotor windings fed by different power sources and the asymmetry of the rotor structure, the analyses on the air-gap flux-oriented control of a synchronous motor are more difficult than for an induction motor. The paper elaborates the decoupling characteristics of the air-gap-flux-oriented control for a synchronous motor considering the rotor salient pole effect and the rotor damping windings. It is pointed out that the air-gap flux-oriented control does not realize steady and dynamic decoupling control for a synchronous motor. The results are verified by the feasible simulations and experiments.
