From an engineering lead product to a market driven solution: from first generation to third generation gas turbine power generation

摘要

This paper presents an account of how the engineering of the product, the perceptions and the demands of the market and the relationship with the power generation customer have evolved over the last 35 to 40 years. This paper gives an insight into the engineering of gas turbines and how technology has become fundamental to delivering that which the customer deems to be important.
