Comparing the latest high-speed access technologies: FTTx, HFC, xDSL, and wireless

Numerous new high-speed, access technologies have been developed during the last decade, with ongoing improvements making their capabilities more similar than different. To understand the tradeoffs involved, fiber-based, copper-based, and terrestrial-wireless alternatives will be compared technically, economically, and strategically.
