China: readjusting its industrial structure for a better environment

There is a strong interaction between the industrial structure and environmental condition. Secondary industry is the major source of pollution, while primary and tertiary industries contribute less pollution. With the development of science and technology, as well as an upgrade of the industrial structure, the impact of industrial sturcture on environment will change. Many developed countries have completed this cycle, but developing countries are still in the process.
