摘要

A measurement system for EHF band mobile satellite multimedia communications is described. The system is designed for narrowband and wideband channel sounding. By the use of two receivers in parallel, a comparison of narrowband and wideband channel properties as well as the comparison of different antennas is possible. When the steering of a high gain antenna is an issue, a GPS-based algorithm or strategies adaptive to the received power can be employed. The operational scenarios cover mobile vehicular and quasi-mobile handheld usage (palmtop or briefcase terminals). Typically, all non-urban outdoor environments are of interest for applications.
