When ranking a large quantity of fuzzy numbers, the efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness of the ranking process is critical. This paper considers the application of "/spl alpha/-cut" and "fuzzy arithmetic operations" to rank the aggregated fuzzy utilities (or generalized fuzzy numbers). The purpose of this application is to make the method easier to program and the data easier to manipulate which results in a more practical method for fuzzy decisions.
