The author provides an overview, a report on the state of the art, and future perspectives relative to the important area of information processing and decision support for organizational decision making. Of primary importance are methodological issues, individual and organizational information processing and decision making issues, and design of technological systems to aid information processing and decision making. These include various environment, coordination, and rationality perspectives.
