On the hardware implementation of the lapped orthogonal transform and the modulated lapped transform

An approach is given for realizing the lapped orthogonal transform (LOT) and the modulated lapped transform (MLT) using a single type of transform hardware, namely, that for the discrete cosine transform (DCT) and its inverse.
