摘要

A post-correction to compensate for tissue attenuation and spatial variation of resolution is described for single photon emission computed tomography. The iterative method described is robust in the sense of being less sensitive to noise. The method also exhibits better convergence compared to the standard iterative schemes. The method was applied on simulated phantoms corrupted with noise and on an ex-vivo dog heart scanned with a Gamma camera. The results obtained from the application of this method are illustrated.
