This paper introduced the main characters and performances of dry-land farming and water-saving machines developed by Northwestern Agricultural University, including three types, water-saving drill machine, mobile irrigation machine and the machines for storing water and reserving moisture of soil; proposed the integrated system of dry-land farming and water-saving agriculture and mechanization, investigated several models which were suitable to the northwestern dry-lands in China. The demonstrate results showed that the application of above machines and integrated technology could great imporve the water use efficiency and increase the crop yield. Also there were the obvious effects for drought-resistance and seeding protection. It was one of teh effective measure for water saving and water conservation to meet the actual condition in China.
