Crop-water production functions (CWPF) has been studied for a quite few decades, and since recent years developing a non-time-specific and non-site-specific CWPF has been receiving more and more attentions. Three types of response functions for the empirical dynamic water production function model (DWPFM) are investigated in this apepr. Four years' (1991-1994) datasets for summer corn collected at the Wangdu irrigation experiment station in northern China are used to evaluate and test the DWPFM. Simulation results indicate that DWPFM is approximately time-invariant. Based on the results of sensitivity analysis, a proposal for the design of treatments of crop-water production functions has been put forward.
