The microscale based multiple technique dryer simulator developed at McGill University was applied to four containerboard machines of Norampac Inc. to evaluate alternate methods of increasing productivity. Simulations for the 51 cylinder corrugated medium machine show that it is operating near full capacity. With increased steam pressure to all cylinders, production increases would be limited to approx 10
