Natural convective flow in a square enclosure with two vertical walls isothermal but at different temperatures and two horizontal walls adiabatic when there is a partial vertical dividing wall in the neclosure has been numerically studied. The dividing wall is attached to the upper wall of the enclosure. The flow has been assumed to be laminar and two-dimensional and results have been obtained for a Prandtl number of 0.7. The effects of Rayleigh number and the dimensionless distances of the dividing wall from the enclosure walls on the Nusselt number have been considered.
