Converters are ocntinually looking for ways to add value to their products.The added value can come from either an improvemetn in physical properties or from a unique balance of those properties.This study investigates using metallocene LLDPE resins in biaxially orientd films.These biaxially oriented metallocene LLDPE (m-LLDPE) films have a different combination of properties than BOPP films.So,biaxially oriented m-LLDPE films should open new markets that are not currently served by BOPP films for biaxially oriented film converters.Typical film properties and possible applications will be discussed.
