The principal idea of the new German medical concept for cancer registers is the idea of combination of data in clinic, hospital, private practice and health centers in a large region and also a combination from research, fundamental and special questions in the field of cancer maladies. The creator and sponsor of this new concept is the Ministry of Work and Social Development. The Federal Ministry will support the local registration of cancer illness in the different manifestations. The final goal is an estensive documentation in the whole Federal Republic of Germany. The region "Rhein-Main" (Frankfurt) is one example for this idea of cancer center. It is called TUMORZENTRUM.
