In recent years, a great deal has been written on software engineering. improved productivity through structured design and programmin has been a primiry concern. Most of the work in the field is related to general purpose computing, business data processing, and systems procjramming. Little has been reported on the application of riodern software development techniques to real-time control software where program size and efficiency of execution are primary considerations.
