Direct digital image transfer gateway

Abstract: A PC based gateway which can be used for direct digital image transfer will be described. The gateway PC contains an ACR-NEMA interface, a DR11W interface, an Ethernet interface, and a 9 track tape drive interface. The ACR-NEMA interface, which has been designed to be cost effective and reasonable in performance, will be described. The many usages of the gateway, which has been designed to be used to provide the ACR-NEMA connection to various existing equipment cost-effectively, will be described also. !
