ISDN implementation-issues facing the consumer

The author addresses those issues which are of relevance to thenconsumer who wishes to implement ISDN in the business or home. To putnISDN in perspective, the evolution of ISDN is briefly covered, followednby a description of British Telecom's service provision. The impact onnthe consumer of Standards, the European Memorandum of Understanding andnBABT approval is considered. The installation and maintenance testing ofnISDN is addressed, with a particular philosophy being described. Bothnprimary and basic rate access are covered, although emphasis is placednon the latter, this being the service aimed at domestic and smallnbusiness users
