Design tables were required for a cold-formed roof panel. Currently, authroties require proof testing to be performed on roofing planels in order to approve their use. Proof load tests were therefore performed on the said cold-formed roof panel and usful data obtained. The new cold-formed structures design code: AS/NZ4600-1996 has provisions by which design loads for particular profiles can be establoished. This paper investigates the correlation between the test data and the new code provisions with a view to determine the suitability of using the code for roof profiles which are not covered bythe code.
