摘要

Ash size distribution and its attrition may affect the reactor performance as well as the fluidizing quality. While it's hard to get these data from hot circulating fluidized bed tests. In this paper, a simple method to investigate the ash size distribution and its attrition is introduced. An oven and a sieving machine were instead of hot CFB facility to test the ash formation character of coal in CFB boiler. A cold CFB test rig was also built whose result is used to compare with that of the suggested method. The result shows that for the specific sieving parameters (such as amplitude and sieving time, etc.) the sieving method is quite similar to the fluidizing method in the ash size distribution. This method is developed in order to provide reliable and simple method to get ash formation data for CFB boiler design and operation.
