摘要

This study demonstrates improved properties and cost savings possible by reinforcing wooden gluded laminated (glulam) beams with pultruded sheets. Addition of plies of pultruded fiber reinforced composites can provide improvements in both properties and economics. Mechanical property enhancements provide the opportunities for cost reduction and more efficient use of natural resources.
