摘要

Magnesium based die casting alloys of the AM-series provided opportunities to produce die cast parts with ductility and fracture toughness in a range which is more characteristic for wrought materials than for cast materials. By combining the extremely attractive inherent properties of the alloys with modern die casting technology and an improved understanding of the importance of casting friendly design, magnesium diecstings have found numerous new applications.
