The investigation is devoted to the study of thernvariability of the dynamics of the Caspian Sea based onrnTOPEX/Poseidon and Jason-1/2 satellites altimetryrndata. The technique of calculating the synoptic dynamicrntopography (DT) as a superposition of the mean searnclimate DT calculated by thermohydrodynamic modelsrnand field of sea level anomalies calculated by satelliternaltimetry data is considered. An analysis of therngeostrophic currents vorticity confirmed thernpredominance of cyclonic circulation in the Northernrnand Middle Caspian and anticyclonic in the Southern.rnAnalysis of variation of average velocity and vorticityrnshows that the average velocity is inversely proportionalrnto the vorticity. Since 1993 to 2007. vorticity rose at arnrate of -0,17±0,02·10¬(-7) per year, and average velocityrnhas increased at rate of +0,11±0,06 cm/year. After 2008rnthe situation has changed to the opposite. The vorticityrnhas increased at a rate +0,75±0,12·10¬(-7) per year, averagernvelocity rose at rate of -0,47±0,19 cm/year.
