Significant Results in Field Trials (Argentina) of an Electronically Controlled Automatic Drilling System

An Electronically Controlled Automatic Drilling System has shown significant results in improving drilling efficiencies in the Entre Lomas Field located in Neuquen province, Argentina. The new generation of electronic, automatic brake controllers available for land rigs and band brakes delivers increased drilling efficiencies and problem avoidance. An important reduction in total rotating hours has been obtained, by both increasing rates of penetration (ROP) and improving bit life.
