Laser cladding of Stellite+WC with WC volume rate of 0%, 9%,18%,27%,36%,45%,54%,72%, and 100% was investigated by duel powder feeding. The results demonstrated that no cracking happened untill WC volume rate over 18%. The average hardness and cracking rate increased while height/width rate decreased with the increase of WC volume rate. The microstructure evolution can be divided into two domains. The first domain refers to WC volume rate from 0% to 36%, the WC added was completed melted and resolved into the melt pool and the re-solidified structure dominated by the dendrite and interdendrite eutectic with W content respectively 9.68 wt% and 21wt%. The second domain related to WC volume rate from 45% to 100%, in which most of the WC was melted and resolved, the microstructure dominated by the duel phase matrix and W compounds precipitated over it. The dissolution of W into the matrix was limited to maximum about 26wt%. The more the WC volume rate in the mixed powder, the more the precipitated W compound and the more W content within the W compound, which finally reached to 64.55wt%.
