Abstract: Digital speckle pattern shearing interferometry, alsocalled digital shearography, is an opticalinterferometric technique which have already beenapplied by industry for the purposes of thenondestructive testing (NDT), strain and stressmeasurement and vibration analysis. In general, theused laser with a relatively large coherent length hasapplied in the measuring device. It is obviously thatthis kind of laser is expensive in price and large involume. Thus the development of a simple, mobile andinexpensive industrial testing tool is limited. Thispaper will focus on the application of the simple laserdiode without temperature stabilization and withoutadditional expanding lens in the digital shearographicinterferometry. The measuring devices using this kindof laser diode is presented. Its applications in theareas of NDT, strain measurement and vibration analysisare demonstrated. The development of a small and mobilemeasuring device in conjunction with a user guidedcomfortable program Shearwin enable the digital specklepattern shearing interferometry to be developed easilyinto an industrial on line testing tool.!10
