Increased quality demands for the production of functional prototype castings and small castingrnseries for automotive, aerospace, computer and medicine industry need an enhancement ofrnin-process prototyping. It is no longer the single prototype production in short time, but arnmore series like prototyping and machining with a fast transfer into series production. Thernquality and success of a functional prototype or small series is closely connected to an integratedrnand tuned process from design to quality control. Significant production factors have tornbe defined and to be controlled within the whole process.
