摘要

“Sounding Brighton”, is a collaborative project pioneered in the United Kingdomsince 2010 by the Noise Abatement Society, the City of Brighton and Hove, and TheUniversity of Sheffield. The programme is exploring practical approaches towardsbetter soundscapes and provides the opportunity to raise awareness and promotecommunication about soundscapes among the general public, stakeholders andthose involved in policy, including encouraging improving local soundscape qualityin urban spaces used for pedestrian walkways, art, entertainment, and restorativeactivities. Crucially, the project is working to provide opportunities to demonstratehow an applied soundscape approach might contribute to local planning andenvironmental improvement as part of a citywide engagement process. This paperreports on further work to develop the programme by mapping the stakeholderengagement process.
