NOISE EMISSION FROM RETREADED TIRES

摘要

The assumption that retreaded tires emit higher sound levels than new tires seems to be just a myth. On the contrary,the tested retreaded tires in this study in most cases emitted somewhat lower sound levels than the new tires. Theexperiments in this study concerned only car tires but the earlier studies reviewed in the paper suggest that there isno reason to expect that things may be different for retreaded truck tires compared to new truck tires.
