摘要

Clock synchronization algorithms ensure that physically dispersed processors have a common knowledge of time. The clock synchronization algorithm, presented in this paper, is called event-based physical clock. It has two notable characteristics. First, it does not introduce any communication overhead. Second, it uses the local real physical time value as the timestamp of events, but it can maintain the partial order among distributed events. A postmortem clock synchronization algorithm has been implemented. An example shows the synchronization algorithm.
