SYSTEMATIC APPROACH TO REDUCE THE COST OF D.M. WATER

摘要

The cogeneration in The Ugar Sugar Works Ltd. is started seven years back. The present capacity of the factory is 10000 TCD with 44 MW Power generation capacity. The factory is having four high pressure Boilers of 62 kg/cm~2 pressure and having total capacity of 270 Tons. The factory has installed three D.M. Plants having capacity 30, 60 & 72 T/hr. The 30 T.D.M. Plant is having co-current regeneration and other two having counter current regeneration. The factory Water Management section has done successful efforts to reduce the cost of D.M. Water. How efforts were made to reduce the cost is enumerated in the article.
