BIOMASS WASTE UTILISATION IN MALAYSIA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO WOOD WASTE

The Government has been active in promoting greater use of wood waste; one of the prominent efforts is the implementation of the 5th Fuel Policy. Nevertheless, biomass waste and wood waste are still be regarded abundant available within the country and can further be exploited for wiser usage. This paper discusses the availability of biomass waste particularly wood waste and analyzes the present utilization scenario in Malaysia. The potential avenues of wood waste will also be highlighted for recommendation and future references.
