EFFECTS OF KRAFT PULPING VARIABLES ON PULP AND PAPER PROPERTIES OF Acacia mangium

摘要

This paper deals with the effects of kraft pulping variables viz. active alkali (AA), sulfidity (S), pulping temperature (T) and time (t) on the pulp and paper properties of Acacia mangium. AA and T were found to give significant effects on kappa number, total and screened yield, while paper properties of tensile and tear were highly dependent on AA and S.
