Organometallic Views of Aromatic Hydrocarbons - Fullerenes - Nanocarbons in Relation to Catalysis

Carbons as supports for transition metal catalysts are overviewed from the sight of organometallic chemistry. Several organometallic complexes of polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and fullerenes are discussed in terms of structures, reactions, and catalysis in comparison with heterogeneous catalysis of transition metals on the carbon support, to which nanoscience and technology of new forms of carbons may provide new insights.
