摘要

A numerically efficient mechanical model for determining muscle and joint reaction forces is developed. The model is based on a kinematic analysis of the body combined with an optimization approach to solve the equilibrium equations. The so-called bound formulation is used to convert the physically meaningful min/max objective function to a linear programming problem that can be solved very efficiently. As an example, the method is applied to the process of bicycling. However, the numerical efficiency allows for application to more complicated three-dimensional problems as well.
