In the last 2 decades, as a result of the computer revolution, the combat aircrafts hasgone through improvement. In this we include displays, control flexibility andnavigation. As a result, the pilot can focus more on his mission. On the other hand, thetrainer aircraft has not caught up with his combat brother. The old technology wentthrough some classical improvements that left the cadet far behind. The motivation ofour project is to narrow the gap between the trainer and the modern combat aircraft.Our plane is designed to cover both the basic and advanced stages of the trainingsyllabus. Our approach suggest to use some basic avionic systems and to improvearmament carriage capabilities. Based on verification and comparison study, wepreferred to use a jet engine especially because of better performance. Theconfiguration which we choose is similar to a combat plane in the meaning of theoutside shape. An effort was done to reduce the cost of the plane by using simpleaffordable systems and other solution such as using of virtual systems like 'virtualradar'.
