The unsteady motion of amphibian air-cushion vehicles (ACV) overwater covered with continuous ice is considered. The ice sheet issimulated by an elastic ice plate. The depth of water depends on xcoordinate, where x direction coincides with the direction of the vehiclemotion. An analysis is made of the effect of the vehicle length, vehiclevelocity, ice plate thickness, and the variable depth of a basin on thewave resistance of the ACV.
