Recently, the authors proposed a numerical treatment of impactboundary condition to assure more stable and accurate computation ofthe sloshing impact loads. This method was incorporated and validatedin a 2D sloshing computations. In the present work, this numericaltreatment is adopted in the development of a 3D method for simulationof sloshing. The description of the 3D method is given herein with theresults of the validation by using four model tanks with both 2D and 3Dexcitation. The results show the effectiveness of the numerical methodfor the assessment of sloshing impact pressure in 3D computations.
