This paper examines work-place layout for job enlargement which recovers hindrance of humanity and creates proper production systems for two-handed work. In the layout, where the whole work is highly divided into simple jobs, a production process includes monotonous job. This layout causes workers the hindrance of humanity such as monolonousness and restrictions. To remove the hindrance of humanity in productions systems, work-place layout must be considered so that plural kinds of jobs can be assigned to a worker. In other words, work-place layout must be considered to be wider area in the horizontal and vertical planes. To realize human work-place layout according to job enlargement, the author experimented on pin-board work which requires neither worker's skill nor his experience. The work is just filling holes in the board with pins by symmetrical motion and simultaneous motion of the both hands. Observed motion time of the work is analyzed by the method of multi-way layout.
