INSTALLATION AND DEMONSTRATION OF THREE LARGE SOLAR THERMAL COLLECTORS FIELDS SUPPLYING INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES HEAT

InSun is a European FP7 project coordinated by ZAFH-NET, has EURAC as a research partner andrnSoltigua, Solid, Solera, Berger Fleischwaren and LácteasCobreros as industrial partners. Withinrnthis project solar heat, generated on roof or ground mounted collectors, will be used to substituternconventional produced heat at different temperature levels. In three demonstration plants largernscale solar systems with concentrating collectors (Fresnel and parabolic trough) and flat platrncollectors with a maximum heating power of 1 MW each are installed to supply heat to differentrnproduction processes at different climatic conditions. The design, construction, system integration,rnoptimized control and a detailed system monitoring are covered within the project. The experiencerngained in heat implementation for different production processes and the monitoring data will bernused for intensive market deployment activities to support the development of this young andrninnovative technology.
