Study on Preparation and Properties of Belite Cement

The properties of a kind of belite cement were prepared with tailing and the composition of clinker and hydration production was analyzed by XRD and SEM in this paper. The results show that the optimal formulas of the raw materials are: ?tailing 1: 40%, lime: 47~52%, bauxite: 6.4~7.0% and gypsum: 6.5%; ?tailing 2: 40-42%, lime: 45-47%, bauxite: 6.75-6.9%, gypsum: 5.5%. The main minerals, such as a-C2S, a'^S, P-C2S, C4A3S , existed in belite cement clinker. The main hydration products were ettringite and C-S-H gel in hydrated cement pastes. All kinds of hydration products were drawn in the system together tightly to form a denser structure.
