摘要

In this paper we describe the Data Architecture Component Overview of a very specific Executive Information System (EIS) based on Kaplan and Norton concept of Balanced Scorecard (BSC). The EIS is oriented to manage de last and very difficult stage of an important and complex hydroelectric project design. We present, briefly, the EIS (based on BSC approach) architects requirements, the Data Architecture needs, Datawarehouse general aspects and the used Meta data concept. We also show aspects of EIS engine and about Application Development Environment. This paper is based on our experience and interaction with the Harza Engineering Company executives (the firm in charge of the last stage of the project) and also with governmental officials (Argentina and Paraguay) who supervise the project.
